Global Real Estate Run 2021

Global event for innovation and sustainability in the real estate industry

It's time to make a change in the home office routine: On April 30, 2021, the Global Real Estate Run initiative is calling for an absolutely corona-compliant run. Through online registration, everyone can easily sign up to complete the  6 kilometers (3.7miles). Once signed up, each participant receives access to a geo-tagged app. The route can be chosen freely and as a bonus, the organizers plant a tree for each participant.

With all this home office work, the indoors are slowly but surely getting to people’s heads. Even if Corona continues to require that we keep our distances, it's time for a little community spirit. Hence, the Global Real Estate Run initiative is launching a run for everyone.

On April 30, 2021, the goal is to complete 6 kilometers within a 24 hours timeframe: Whether running, walking or running is up to each participant. Anyone can take part - anywhere in the world. The run is of course 100 percent corona-compliant: The 6 kilometers (3.7 miles) are completed on a route of one's own choice, regardless of location. To participate, registration is necessary and can be made on the website Globalrealestaterun.com. After which, each participant receives access to a geo-tagged app that is compatible with other running apps.
In addition to the sense of community by accomplishing a healthy activity together , the organizers  would like to draw attention to innovation and sustainability in the real estate industry.

The real estate industry is currently responsible for around 30 percent of all CO2 emissions. This proportion must be reduced quickly, efficiently and with everyone’s contribution. Sustainability is not just a local issue, but a global one. Thus, the Global Real Estate Run.

Of course, the organizers have also taken up the cause of sustainability: For each participant, they plant a tree in suitable regions and under fair conditions in cooperation with qualified organizations. The goal: to get as many people as possible on as many continents as possible to complete the 6 kilometers on April 30 - and thus plant as many trees as possible.

Individuals, families, but also teams and entire companies can participate. Employees and customers can thus be offered variety and distraction. Special event packages are also available for companies and teams. For individuals, participation is free of charge - a contribution may be added at your own discretion.

To shorten the time until April 30, the organizers are regularly posting exciting and informative articles on the topics of innovation and sustainability in the real estate industry on Globalrealestaterun.com. Among them, for example, is a checklist on how private individuals can save energy.
